There was a season when I didn’t move.
Not because I didn’t love God.
Not because I didn’t have purpose.
Not because I didn’t know better.
I didn’t move because I was afraid.
Afraid of being disappointed again.
Afraid that maybe I hadn’t heard God clearly the last time.
Afraid of stepping forward with uncertainty and being seen in it.
So I stayed still.
And what I need you to understand is this: staying still wasn’t peace — it was fear dressed up as waiting.
Why staying down feels easier than getting up.
When life breaks you — divorce, loss, disappointment, unmet expectations — staying down can feel safer than standing again.
If you don’t move:
You don’t risk failing again
You don’t have to explain yourself
You don’t have to face the uncertainty
For me, there was also shame.
Shame in having to say I was divorced.
Shame in starting again after encouraging so many other women.
Shame in feeling broken while still being called to lead.
It felt easier to hide than to rise.
But hiding doesn’t heal you.
It just delays obedience.
Why God doesn’t let you stay where fear puts you
Here’s what I had to learn — and what you need to know:
Your feelings do not change God’s mind.
Fear doesn’t cancel His calling.
Shame doesn’t disqualify you.
Disappointment doesn’t revoke your purpose.
God was still calling me higher.
Still calling me forward.
Still calling me to greater.
And the truth is — He’s calling you too.
Not because you’re ready.
Not because you feel confident.
But because obedience doesn’t wait on comfort.
Why waiting on healing keeps you stuck
Many women tell themselves:
“I’ll move once I heal.”
“I’ll start when everything aligns.”
“I’ll step out when I feel stronger.”
But healing is not a prerequisite for obedience.
Healing often happens because you obey.
You don’t get clarity by standing still.
You don’t get confidence by hiding.
You don’t get peace by avoiding the call.
You get those things by getting up — trembling if necessary — and trusting God to meet you in motion.
What getting up actually requires
Getting up doesn’t mean you have it all figured out.
It means:
You stop waiting to feel like it
You stop letting fear make decisions for you
You stop confusing delay with wisdom
Getting up means putting one foot in front of the other even when:
You’re unsure
You’re afraid
You don’t know how it will turn out
Faith isn’t certainty.
Faith is obedience with trust.
Why you have to get up — now
Because staying down costs too much.
It costs:
Your confidence
Your clarity
Your momentum
Your future
God didn’t preserve you through everything you survived so you could stay stuck in fear.
He preserved you to rise.
To rebuild.
To walk forward in purpose.

You don’t have to feel ready.
You don’t have to be healed.
You don’t have to be fearless.
You just have to get up — and trust God enough to move.
And I promise you…
He will meet you there.
